About the Author
In addition to being a published author of
quality fiction for young people, Olive
Huisman is an accomplished singer, pianist,
composer and arranger.
She sang with the Maryland Choral Society
for 18 years and with the University of
Maryland chorus for two performances at
the Kennedy Center.
Ms. Huisman taught piano and music
theory for 30 years until she retired to
write, something she'd always dreamed of
doing. She has done quite well in her
writing career with several published short
stories and two books, Best Friends and A
Guest In The House.
She and her husband, Seth, currently live
in Cornwall, PA and enjoy spending time
with their three children and six
grandchildren, several of whom often
remind her what it's like to be a teenager.
